I guess he’s now saying that women can also use condoms to prevent the spread of disease– which kind of nullifies my suspicions of sexism and homophobia, and kind of shocks me. Is the Church actually getting progressive and realizing that condoms have legitimate purposes? Maybe someday they’ll be telling us we don’t have to be saddled with unwanted pregnancies? And then they’ll realize that being gay is totally cool? I’m astonished; I thought I would live to see the day something like this happened but I just didn’t think it would be with this particular Pope.
